Standard Configuration
Our standard configuration service will configure the basic settings of Web Cart and produce product category and product page templates that will match the design of your website.
The template files will have the following data as standard. If you require other elements on these pages then these may be achievable at additional configuration cost.
Product Catalogue
Our ecommerce system contains a product database which contains all the information about your products. Our initial setup will use test data to produce a product catalogue. Data input services are available, at additional cost, to import your product data.
We use this information to produce a product catalogue of your products on your website. Our standard configuration includes our standard catalogue templates. You can see and example of this template at the following demo website, http://cashregister.3legs.com/prod_cat/.
In addition to this standard catalogue template we can produce custom catalogue templates, at additional cost.
Order Processing
Order are processed via our centralised e-commerce system. This system uses a fixed order process common to all users of our service. As part of this process delivery is calculated based on the contents of the basket and the country of delivery.
By default we offer 2 types of delivery calculation. If you have specific delivery requirements that these may be achievable at additional configuration cost.
Fixed Charge Delivery
With this method of delivery the world is split into 5 delivery zones. You then set a series of delivery bands for these zones with a fixed delivery charge per item for each band/zone combination. Then in the product database you assign a delivery band to each product. As each item is added the corresponding delivery charge is applied for the quantity of items. So if 5 items of delivery band A are added to the basket the delivery charge A is also added 5 times.Weight Based Delivery
With this method of delivery the world is split into 5 delivery zones. You then set a series of delivery bands for these zones for a given weight range. A charge for that band is also set per delivery zone. Then in the product database you assign a weight value to each product. As items are added to the basket the order weight is calculated and the appropriate delivery charge applied.
These are the standard delivery configuration options. Advance delivery calculation is available at additional cost.
Prices for products are entered into our system as either including VAT or Ex VAT. If the prices are ex VAT we can have our system calculate VAT on the basket total.
Custom Order Process
Our standard configuration includes our standard order process which offers very limited customisation. Please contact us if you would like to see a demo of this order process. If you have custom requirements for the checkout process then we are able to offer a custom checkout process, please contact us with your requirements to get a custom quote.
Order Payment
Payment for orders will be handled by one of our supported payment providers. You will need an account with one of these providers and supply us with the login details for this account. As people proceed through the checkout process they will be sent to the payment provider to make card payment. Successful transactions will be notified to our system where you will be able to review the details of these orders.
